As the largest photography festival in the world, Scotiabank CONTACT has become a premiere cultural event with a broad range of international programming. Scotiabank CONTACT participants, whether acclaimed international artists or local emerging photographers, exhibit in a variety of venues, from major public museums to private galleries and many alternative spaces including billboards, Pearson International Airport and the facades of significant cultural buildings.”

Much Ado About Nothing – April 22-May 31, 2015 – Tarragon Theatre

“Beatrice and Benedict take on Brampton in this Bollywood-inspired adaptation of Shakespeare’s most clever comedy. As re-imagined by Richard Rose with consulting director Ravi Jain, this Much Ado plays as an all-out war of the sexes against the backdrop of a very Canadian clash of cultures. Moving from comedy to tragedy and back again with razor sharp wit, a familiar story takes on new meaning when set in our own backyard. Classical text fuses with Bollywood in this larger-than-life spectacle.”

Doors Open Toronto – May 23-24 – Various Buildings

“For one weekend a year, buildings across Toronto open their doors to the public during the Doors Open Toronto festival. Over 150 buildings of cultural, historical and social importance will open up for the public. The tradition began in France in 1984 and caught on next in Glasgow in 1990. Toronto was the first North American city to start a Doors Open day back in the year 2000. Since then, over two million Torontonians have celebrated architectural design in just under 600 properties in their city. A number of walking tours will be hosted at several buildings, featuring stories of local history filled with mysteries and spirits.”

Odysseo: The Equestrian Spectacular – May 11-24, 2015 – Port Lands

“Odysseo is the only 6-D show in the world. This unique live theatrical production is a takes guests to a live Hollywood-esque movie set. There will also be high definition computer graphics projected on 18 powerful projectors the size of three IMAX screens, an enormous stage covered by tons of rocks and sand, and thousands of litres of water for the show’s aquatic finale.”
